Wedding reception at the Boathouse Venue from a far

Boathouse Venue

Looking for an unusual venue for your Event?

Well, the Boathouse Venue could be just perfect!

Weddings, Private Parties, Wakes, Meetings, Workshops and Group Gatherings – It all happens here.

The Boathouse Venue is a waterside property that offers stunning panoramic views across the tranquil 80 acres of Upper Bittell reservoir. Even the approach driveway to the venue provides an anticipation of expectation and some additional photographic opportunities.

This hidden paradise offers a unique and secluded venue at the weekend as a stunning location for a wedding, a special anniversary lunch, or evening event, a landmark birthday or just a family get-together.

During the weekdays, the Boathouse Venue offers both companies and voluntary organisations our facilities for in-house training sessions, sales meetings and seminar opportunities away from the usual office distractions or, as a regular meeting point for groups and local societies.

Although not exclusive to the weekends, the opportunity to hold a variety of special and personal events, to create some unique memories for years to come, is waiting here at the Boathouse Venue.

Private Parties

In addition to the warm friendly and homely, less formal style of room setting, it has a fully equipped kitchen that boasts a 5-Star hygiene certificate, a licensed bar that can be augmented with your additional requirements, a sound system for playing your own choice of background music and a wood burner for warmth and ambience.

  • Weddings
  • Special Anniversary Lunches
  • Evening Events,
  • Landmark Birthdays
  • Wakes or simply a family get-together

The room is set up to your requirements, dependant on the event and if necessary, additional equipment can be hired in for the occasion.

We can put you in touch, depending on the style of your celebration, with our preferred caterer who will discuss your event with you and customise the menu accordingly. Simple buffets with optional hot supplements for the winter months, BBQ’s, Hogg Roasts, two or three Course menus or a fine dining experience is all within the range of food options. Alternatively, to give flexibility, you may wish to bring-in your own outside caterer to use the facilities, or to self-cater, or even a mixture of both. For those wanting to increase the invitee list for a Wedding or a Big-Bash to more than 75, we can offer the prospect of using the upper car park to install a marquee together with, or singularly, a covered extension on the side of the building to provide a reception area and later, a chill out point during the day or evening.

The extensive area of grass in front of the property presents the opportunity to hold a welcome reception and drinks area, and then later in the day for entertainment but all close to the water. A further possibility is to have one or more simple gazebos on the grassy area to provide an area of shade in the summer months.

A word of warning to note; we are not wedding planners but a venue supplier and therefore, we can only offer some advice from previous clients’ experience.
